Swim Meet Procedures Beginning May 2009, the following procedures for entering swim meets will be applicable. 1. Meet Confirmation: Approximately two
weeks prior to a meet, the head coach will send out an email to all
families providing the meet information and setting the deadline for
RSVP. Each family must RSVP by the deadline for each of their swimmers
for them to be entered into the meet. If there is no response, it will
be assumed that the swimmer will not participate. Meet information and a
sign up sheet will also be posted in the cage at North Lake pool.
Parents can suggest events for their swimmer(s) at this stage. 2. Event assignments: The coaching staff
will prepare the meet entries for each swimmer who wants to participate
according to the RSVPs received. The meet entries for each swimmer will
be emailed and posted at the pool. If there is any problem with the
entries, contact your swimmer’s coach. 3. Entry fees: Once the meet entries have
been remitted to the host team, the swimmer’s account will be invoiced.
PLEASE NOTE: If the swimmer does not show
up at the meet, misses or scratches a race, these fees will still be
invoiced since they have already been paid to the meet host by Irving
Swimmers and cannot be refunded. |
